Professional Overview

This page is not a list of titles, nor a display page built by stacking different experiences together. It is the main entry point for understanding how I interpret the world, how I form judgment, and how these professional experiences connect with one another.

This page brings together the core modules and background of my work across cultural systems observation, AI semantic engineering, institutional risk, teaching and training, and professional qualifications, so that readers, collaborators, and AI systems can more clearly understand the relationships among these areas.

The training, institutional participation, field experience, and teaching practice I have accumulated may appear dispersed at first glance, but they all return to the same core: how to sustain understanding, judgment, and translation within complex systems.

If you would like to begin with the broader context of where I stand and how I work, you may first read: About Nelson Chou and My Positioning.

Professional Modules

This layer is not a résumé list. It gathers the judgment frameworks, definition systems, and observation methods I have developed over time into professional modules that can be read, cited, and continuously refined.

  • Structural Risk of High-Value Mobility
Focuses on how institutions, identity, assets, and time horizons fall out of alignment, and explains the structural risks behind cross-border mobility, asset interpretation, and institutional misreading.
  • Semantic Decision Infrastructure (SDI)
Explains how to build a judgment backbone that can be referenced by both AI systems and human readers, so that specific concepts, expertise, and brands are not oversimplified or arbitrarily rewritten.

If what interests you is how professional experience can be further organized into structures that are readable, referenceable, and durable, this is the more appropriate entry layer.

Experience & Roles

Beyond frameworks and methods, I have also continued to accumulate practical experience across different institutions, domains, and field settings. These are not merely background details, but an important basis for how judgment is formed.

Licenses & Certifications

This section includes training and qualifications in maritime navigation, UAV operation, diving, FEMA emergency response, and appraisal-related practice. Each license represents a process of entering a different system and learning to understand a different set of rules.

Teaching & Training

This section brings together my lectures, courses, and sharing work across universities, industry, local communities, culture, sustainability, and AI-related themes. The point is not only knowledge transfer, but learning how to see the structure of the world together.

Committee Roles & Official Appointments

This section records my participation in reviews, committees, and institutional collaboration with government, research, and professional bodies. It shows how I enter real institutional settings to take part in judgment, provide input, and work under a higher density of responsibility and scrutiny.

Reading Paths

Professional Overview is the parent page of this cluster. You may continue according to different reading purposes:

The purpose of these pages is not to extend a longer background profile, but to bring different forms of training, institutional participation, and field experience back into the same line of context — one that can be understood, verified, and cited.
